Meet Nando!

Nando is a beautiful boy who is still waiting for the perfect family to call his own. He’s a big lad, like a giant Lurcher, with a heart just as huge. Don’t let his size fool you, he’s a lovable, dopey boy who might try to sit on your lap, not realising how big he is!

When Nando was returned to us, he was quite reactive to other dogs on his walks. Thanks to the hard work of our behaviourist, Will, he’s made fantastic progress. Nando now walks much better on his harness and lead, showing that he’s learning good lead manners. His future adopters will need to continue this training and follow Will’s advice.

At the rescue, Nando can mix with other dogs following careful introductions. Once introduced correctly, Nando will happily play with other dogs and enjoys the company of a friend/friends.

Because of his size, Nando isn’t suitable for homes with small children, he’s bouncy and we wouldn’t want anyone accidentally getting knocked over. He’s spent too many months in the kennels, and the stress is starting to affect him, causing some weight loss.

Nando would be the perfect companion for a patient, experienced family who can give him the time, training, and love he deserves. He’s ready to leave the kennels behind and finally settle into the happy home he’s been waiting for.
